Black and White Portraits
I have always been a fan of the old classic black and white Hollywood portraits. If I could, I would probably do ninety percent of my portraits in black and white, the rest in color. Whenever I print a portrait for personal of my family member, they are always in black and white. These portraits have a staying power I do not feel as often with color portraits. Moreover, black and white photos harmonize with just about any decor.
If you would be so kind as to contact me and set up a sitting for black and white portraits, you would be putting an instant smile on my face. I don't get the chance to take them as often as I would like. Most people that ask for them, opt to include one in addition to their standard color portrait or headshot. Despite their richer look, black and white portrait sessions, currently, cost the same as my regular sittings for individual portraits.
Some customers have asked if I could simply provide a second black and white digital file, from one of the color portraits they chose. While I am always happy to provide one at no charge, it is always better if the initial goal is to produce a black and white portrait from the start. There is a considerable difference in the photographic approach to black and white versus color, especially with respect to the lighting used.
You love black and white. I love black and white. So schedule your portrait sitting and come on over. Bring some changes of clothes and let the fun begin!
"I wanted to get a professional head shot to update my LinkedIn account and Paul popped up during my search. I contacted him via text and we scheduled a sitting in 15 minutes after my first text. His home studio is very comfortable and he ended up doing an amazing job, even though his subject (me) is not photogenic at all! 5/5 recommendation!" ~ William Russell (Google Review)

I have two rooms I use for studio portaits, one is set up for natural light portraits. The other is set up for traditional studio lighting. Studio lighting is easier to manipulate and control, which is why I use it most. The black and white portraits above were produced with studio lighting in my main studio. The black and white headshots below were taken in 'the white room,' using window lighting and reflectors.
NOTE: The images above serve to show samples of my work. They have all been watermarked with my logo and declaration of copyrights, to protect them from potential fraud or misuse. Rest assured, the digital files you receive, as outlined in my Red Hot Headshot Deals, will not contain these watermarks. Also check out my Black and White Business Portraits.
