Landscapes of New England

Fog, Spruce, Red Bush - Acadia National Park

My photography passion began in New England, where I still have friends and family ties. Hence, these images predate my move to Tucson, in December of 2004. Digitally photography wasn’t up to par until 2005. Hence, the images in this gallery were all created with slide film.  The rectangular ones were taken with a 35mm camera and Kodachrome 25 slide transparencies. The square images were taken with a medium format Mamiya camera and Ektachrome 64. I’ve slowly been going through my archives and incorporating photos from this earlier period into this gallery.

The beauty of square images is that you can crop them horizontally, vertically or just keep them square. That said, I composed them square and really can’t imagine them any other way.
